If you try to install an application you might receive an error 0xc000000F saying Windows cannot launch the application.

This happens if your Application is installed from a network Share. To solve the Problem you should copy the application to your local disc and start the installation procedure from this place. There is a HotFix by Microsoft as well. I did not test this personally but it might work as well.

Heute habe ich mir zum testen ein Windows 7 auf die zweite Disk geladen. Überraschenderweise funktionierte dies fast einwandfrei. Einziger Punkt, ein Virenscanner für 64Bit Windows 7 bietet Norman noch nicht an. Die 64Bit Version für Vista ist nicht kompatibel und liess sich nicht installieren. Doch Kaspersky Labs bietet einen Gratis Virenscanner für Windows 7 an. Dieser kann von der Kasypersky Website geladen werden. Damit lässt sich eine Testumgebung mit Windows 7 problemlos schützen. Die Lösung enthält zudem eine Software Firewall und ein Anti-Spam Modul.

DIes habe ich zum Anlass genommen mir Windows 7 in einer VW zu installieren und mir das Ding mal ganz kurz anzuschauen. Dabei habe ich einige Screenshots und ein kurzes Movie erstellt, welches einen urzen Einblick in Windows 7 bietet.
